Vegan hotspot in SLO

Hi everyone, this is Hannah speaking (:  Finals week is approaching fast for me (next week!) so my friends and I decided to take a little break to go out for dinner...in celebration of surviving dead week.  Being a vegan, there usually aren't very many restaurants that cater to my special diet, but San Luis Obispo has one 100% vegan restaurant that I LOVE.  Its called the Bliss Cafe and it's located on Higuera Street in downtown SLO.  The first time that I came across this place was with Tyler.  We bought an amazing Chai tea drink and some vegan cookies.  Then last week I made a return trip with my friends Sarah and Olivia.  The menu is vast ranging from starters, to kids food, burritos, smoothies, bowls, juices, plates and wraps.  Olivia and I both got the "Bhakti Bowl" which is a bowl of rice with the daily curry vegetables and chutney.  The food was exquisite...although the chutney was a little to spicy.  Sarah on the other hand got one of Blisses "live" pies.  She got a peanut butter cup slice with coconut whipped cream topping.  It was so rich and delicious.

The food was so good that yesterday we made a return journey.  This time I decided that I was going to get a slice of pie (in honor of pi day 3/14).  I had a slice of carrot pie/carrot cake.  It was delicious!  Not to sweet but very filling.  Olivia got the veggie protein sandwich and Maddie got baked samosas.  Olivia also got some kombucha which was on tap! I tried it and it was way better than the stuff that you can find in the bottles.  This place is a hole in the wall restaurant, but I will definitely be returning multiple times in my time here in San Luis Obispo.  The only problem was that the food was fairly expensive.  But it was worth the money!
Happy Pi Day!
