Being avid vegans and also huge believers in the American breakfast, Hannah and I went to one of our Seattle favorites: Wayward Vegan Cafe.  You may think: "vegan?  Well that just means no flavor", while in reality (not just veganland) when you restrict certain aspects of your diet I believe that there is much more creativity allowed!  This place offers a great weekend breakfast at an equally great price.  I don't recall the exact name of the dish but Hannah ordered an "egg" dish with curry tofu scattered in it, and I'll tell you I don't think there has ever been a better bonding of an asian taste with a staple American breakfast item, purely genius!  I ordered an omelette with some kind of "beef" trapped inside of it (I ordered it for the heavenly looking avocado on top which Hannah and I both have a SERIOUS taste for), and it was also pretty gnarly.  One thing about this place too is that they have an interesting array of condiments to put on your food, from soy sauce in a spray bottle to some crazy spicy Thai sauce (people, they frickin mean spicy).  Alright the spicyness wasn't too bad, but it sure did taste great on both of our eggs.  Overall this place is a winner and we will certainly return like we have in the past.

Later in the day we took a nice stroll through Pike Place as any good Seattler would, and picked up a sandwich for lunch at the local grocery store (called Pear).  Sandwich was killer, and vegan of course!  Hummus, red onion zucchini bean sprout tomato holy smokes it was really good.  And who can eat it without a pickle on the side!  Really good, and the store has some very nice selections of drinks and candy, definitely a place to check out next time your down there.  And of course who could forget a pic at the gum wall with your favorite lady to top it off ;)
